Shandong Bohui Paper is erecting a greenfield mill for the manufacture of virgin fiber-based cartonboard in the port of Dafeng in the province Jiangsu, north of Shanghai.
Bohui Paper (founded in 1944, employing more than 5000 people) has been a customer of GAW technologies for many years. The location of the new mill in Dafeng (Jiangsu Bohui Paper) was chosen due to its excellent transport connection. The port is close by Shanghai, and was expanded to be one of the most up-to-date transportation areas for domestic as well as international trade lanes and vessel routes. The new BM3 is going to produce 750.000 tonnes per year, its main output will be virgin fibre-based cartonboard at the basis weight of 315 g/m². By then Bohui Paper will rise to be one of the biggest board producers in China. The board machine will have a trim width of 8.1 meter and a design speed exceeding 1.000 meter per minute. Most of the output will target the domestic market, only a small part will be exported.
Scope of delivery: GAW is delivering the Coating Colour Preparation, Wet End Chemicals, Working Stations and Wet GCC units, including erection supervision and start-up. The customer relies once again on the technology and know-how of GAW. The delivery is scheduled for spring 2012; the order value is several million EUR.
