Update to GAW sponsoring project Beefluencer (bee research park of UNI Graz)

We are Beefluencer and support the bee research park Graz

Sigrid Tertinegg, marketing manager of GAW technologies, had the chance to visit the bee research park of the University of Graz, located in the eastern outskirts of the city.

The park is home for more than a million bees, which are available to internationally renowned scientists to intensify their research work. For example the testing of smart and new technologies in the beehive, the development of bee medication to increase resistance to diseases or biomonitoring for nutrition.

The health of the bees as part of a vital symbiosis of our complex ecosystem is the top priority and scientific facts are crucial for sustainable and successful solutions.

UNI Graz biologist Dr. Robert Brodschneider explained how the beehives are monitored and what kind of research they are doing at the moment: finding the best way to fight the varroa mite. Thank you very much for taking the time to give us these very interesting insights!
